When the war with Iran broke out, our very own ChayaLeah was leading a Birthright trip in Israel. Flights were grounded. Chaos took over. And like many other Jewish kids, her group was suddenly stranded with no way out.
So, what do you do when the skies close? You get on a ship.
In a modern-day reverse-Exodus moment, over a thousand Jews boarded boats for a 20-hour voyage to Cyprus, hoping to catch flights home from there.
But… a funny thing happened on the way to the airport: The planes didn’t show up.
What was supposed to be a short pit stop has turned into an extended, exhausting layover, with few hotels, food, or a change of clothes in sight… and no idea what comes next.
And Cyprus? Not exactly set up to host over 1,000 surprise guests at the dock.
That’s when Chabad of Cyprus stepped in — like only Chabad can.
They’ve been scrambling to feed, clothe, shelter, and care for hundreds of our brothers and sisters who never expected to be here this long. But they need our help.
So, if you have a few bucks to spare, could you please give them some Tzedakah?
They would be immensely grateful for your help.
Thank you for your support.
